Macao and Hengqin Enterprises Join Hands at Hong Kong’s InnoEX to Explore Global Partnership Opportunities

InnoEX 2026 commenced on April 13 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together innovators and businesses from around the world. The Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) and the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) led a delegation of nine enterprises and universities from Macao and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin to take part in the event. A Macao Pavilion has been set up to showcase the latest products and technologies developed by Macao and Hengqin-based tech innovators. The Macao delegation’s participation in the event is coordinated by the CPTTM and the FDCT, with the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) of the Macao SAR Government and the Economic Development Bureau of the Cooperation Zone in Hengqin (ECD in Hengqin) serving as supporting organizations. This initiative aims to leverage an international platform to broaden market reach, attract investment, and promote cross-border industrial collaboration.
The nine exhibitors at the Macao Pavilion include InfoMacro Information Technology Limited, Macau University of Science and Technology, Amicro Technology (Macau) Company Limited, Vodatel Networks Holdings Limited, Macau Digit Force Technology Limited, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group (Macao) International Development Co., Ltd., Osens Sensor Technology (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Lingyange Semiconductor Technology Limited, and Xia Ding Technology Co., Ltd..
Their exhibits span a diverse range of cutting-edge fields, including artificial intelligence and smart systems; biomedicine and big health technologies; advanced materials and bio-detection; smart hardware and testing equipment; and digital and cultural tourism applications. Together, they offer a snapshot of the latest innovation emerging from Macao and Hengqin, highlighting the region’s growing role as a hub for technology development and collaboration.
To deepen exchange and promote investment, the organizers hosted a sharing session titled “Opportunities for Development and Investment in Macao’s Technology Industry” at the Macao Pavilion at noon on the opening day. The session featured guest speakers including Mr. Chao Pang, Senior Manager of the Investment Promotion and Commerce Development Affairs Department of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM); Mr. Cheong Ka Hou, Senior Officer of the Technology Application and Support Division of DSEDT; Mr. Chan Tak Meng, Head of Division of the Talent Development Committee; and Ms. Chu Iek Man, Senior Manager of the Project Funding Department of the FDCT. The discussion explored topics such as Macao’s business environment, trends in technological development, talent policies, and technology funding programs, providing insights and policy guidance for enterprises interested in investing in Macao or Hengqin, and promoting two-way investment and collaboration in technological innovation.
During the exhibition, the CPTTM and the FDCT organized a delegation from Macao’s technology sector to visit the event, where participants explored innovations across industries and engaged with counterparts from various countries and regions, identifying potential partnerships and opportunities for cooperation.
The Macao Pavilion at InnoEX 2026 runs from April 13 to 16. In addition to the exhibition area, the event features a series of forums, seminars, networking sessions, and business-matching activities, bringing together global innovators, business leaders, and investors to create an important platform for interregional and cross-industry collaboration.
