157 Completed Projects Gather at FDCT Report Showcasing New Research Outcomes and Practices in Macao

    The Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) held the "Scientific Research Projects Result Exhibition and Academic Report in the Year of 2025" at the Macao Science Center on December 10, 2025 (Wednesday). The event brought together 157 completed projects from this year, showcasing the latest research outcomes and innovative practices by Macao's research teams across various fields.

Focusing on Promoting More Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration
    Vincent U, President of the Administrative Committee of FDCT, stated in his speech that the transformation of scientific research results is the top priority in current efforts. He emphasized that FDCT will promote more industry-academia-research collaboration and facilitate the implementation of more scientific research outcomes in Macao through strategies such as “enterprises pose the problems and universities solve them”, reverse matching, and other new measures.
    Professor Liang Dong, Vice President of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote speech titled “The Road of Scientific Innovation: The Mission of Research Institutions in Promoting Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration”. The keynote speech by Liu Zhenfeng, Chair of the Board of Macau Digit Force Technology Co., Ltd., was titled “Rooted in Macao, Facing Overseas: Promoting the Industrial Application of AI”.
    In addition, the following individuals each delivered academic presentations: Professor Hon Chi Tin, Project Representative from Singou Technology (Macau) Ltd.; Ho Kuok Tou, Project Manager from Pachira International Technology Co., Ltd.; Associate Professor Jia Yanwei, Project Leader from the University of Macau; and Tam Pui Si, Project Manager from Biopetech (Macau) Limited.

Supporting the Realization and Transformation of More Scientific Research Outcomes
    To align with the Macao SAR Government’s “1+4” strategy for appropriately diversified economic development and support the growth of the technology industry, FDCT has implemented a series of measures this year to promote technological innovation, including: 1) The launch of the “Technology Research and Development Talent Funding Scheme” to support local and international technology talent engaged in R&D work in Macao; 2) The introduction of optimization measures for the application process of joint projects with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, among other entities; 3) Strengthening international and regional scientific research cooperation, including newly launched joint funding programs with the São Paulo Research Foundation of Brazil, the Government of the French Republic, and international collaborative research funding schemes. These initiatives aim to promote international exchanges for Macao's researchers and enhance Macao's role in global scientific research collaboration.
    FDCT will actively support the development of scientific and technological infrastructure in Macao through a series of services and specialized events, helping to achieve and transform more scientific research outcomes.
