FDCT Organized Site Visit for Technology Enterprises to join the BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo, Exploring Deeper Industry-University-Research Collaboration

On 24 May, Science and Technology Fund (FDCT) organized a group of more than 60 people, including the Trustee Committee, the Administrative Committee, various technology enterprises and research teams, to visit the “BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo”.
Che Weng Keong, President of the FDCT Administrative Committee, stated that the Expo put the spotlight on cutting-edge technologies, showcasing the current and future development in consumer technology, life science, as well as climate and low-carbon technology industries. He hoped that through this visit, the participants could gain insights into the latest international technology trends, broaden their horizons, and allow research teams of enterprises and universities to stay more focused on applications of technological innovations, while further exploring profound industry-university-research collaboration.
Wong Kuai Leng, Director and General Manager of the Fnetlink Group, expressed that the exposition had gathered numerous technology enterprises domestically and internationally, as well as in Macao. Through the exhibitions and various events, it is expected to promote two-way investment and business cooperation, creating opportunities for Macao’s technological development.
Chen Dong, Head of Research and Technology Administration Office at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), pointed out that the Expo had brought together many pioneering and innovative technology companies, such as the global leading automotive electromagnetic company, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL). He believed that such visit and learning experience would play a crucial role in expediting Macao’s technological innovation, the transformation of local research achievements, and industry-university-research collaboration.
The attendees also included Cai Zhiming, member of the Trustee Committee, Cheang Kun Wai and Ip Kuai Lam, members of the Administrative Committee, as well as principal researchers and team members from funded enterprises and university projects.
