Macao Showcases its Scientific Research Findings in the National Science and Technology Week in Beijing

In an effort to facilitate the transformation of scientific research findings, and provide Macao teenagers with an in-depth perception of cutting-edge research findings, the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) selected three research projects from the University of Macau and the Macau University of Science and Technology, and called on all the secondary schools to campaign for the “Scientific Research Findings Promotions”, so as to jointly participate in the National Science and Technology Week.
Three secondary school teams eventually won the selection campaign of the “Scientific Research Findings Promotions”, namely the Saint John de Brito School, Pui Ching Middle School and Keang Peng School (secondary school section). The winning teams were designated to develop the promotion program for the research team and promote the event to local residents, which received an active response. According to the research team, enriched by the promotion program proposed by teachers and students from secondary schools, the exhibition materials are conducive to enhancing the effectiveness of the science and technology promotions as well as the transformation of scientific research findings.
The 2023 National Science and Technology Week kicked off across the country from 20 to 31 May, with its opening ceremony held in Beijing. Under the theme of “Loving Science, Admiring Science”, this year’s event featured the latest scientific research findings of enterprises, universities and research institutions.
