The 3rd period of application for year 2008

Subsidized amount less than or equal to MOP$500,000.00: Application can be submitted at anytime.
Subsidized amount over MOP$500,000.00: Application can be submitted from Sept. 1st, 2008 to Oct. 31st, 2008.
(The next period of application will be started from Jan. 2nd, 2009 to Mar. 2nd, 2009)

The funding application is processed in accordance with the Dispatch No. 273/2004 “Regulations of Fund Granting” approved by the Chief Executive. In accordance with Article 5 of “Regulations for Fund Granting”. The subsidized amount is divided into two categories: not exceeding MOP$500,000 and exceeding MOP$500,000. The application for not exceeding MOP$500,000 can be submitted at anytime while the one for exceeding MOP$500,000 is open for application three times per year.

According to number 8 of article 4, number 3 of article 7 of the Law establishing the Basic Rules for Policies Regarding Science and Technology “Lei de Bases das Ciências e da Tecnologia”, and paragraph 1 of number 2 of article 2 of the “By-Laws of The Science and Technology Development Fund” (Estatuto do Fundo para o Desenvolvimento das Ciências e da Tecnologia), the following regulation is constituted. To encourage schools to develop more activities and teaching program relative to the promotion of science in school, so as to attract more students to participate. This will improve their creative thinking, encourage their interest in scientific investigations to cultivate the spirit of “Love Science, Learn Science and Use Science”, and to generally promote the quality of the studies in this field.
